The brief for Melissa for our living room was as much about layout and use as design and colour. Not knowing how to use the space effectively for a family of five meant we were struggling to agree a design. Melissa listened to the brief and provided a number of options based on various factors, and then overlayed the design, giving us a contemporary colour scheme that we love, with ideas for window treatments. All we need to do now is put it into practice!

House Renovation

Mr & Mrs M – Horsell

We asked Peter and Melissa to help us draw up plans and submit our application for a project involving converting an existing single-storey extension to a double (adding an extra bedroom) on our detached 3-bedroom house in Horsell, Woking.

We had previous experience working with them both on a project (as one of many flat owners) of a large Victorian conversion property in Surbiton and were so impressed with their hard work, dedication and creative solutions on that project, we didn’t give it a second thought when it came to asking them to help us expand our property to accommodate a similarly expanding family.

They were equally (if not more!) helpful when it came to offering advice pre-purchase on our now-family home – going out of their way to ensure the property was / would be suitable for us in the short and long term. Peter’s expertise in all things structural gave us peace of mind whilst going through the purchasing process and similarly, Melissa’s incredible eye for design and creativity was instrumental in allowing us to arrive at the decision to settle on this property for our long-term future.

We went through several iterations of the now settled (and approved) plans to add to the existing extension. Peter’s breadth of knowledge around the local planning considerations was invaluable in getting us to this point. Their patience as we went back and forth over ideas and most importantly, the time they took to understand our family’s needs for the property has led us to arrive at a pragmatic and sensible approach that works for us. They are both responsive, understanding and a pleasure to work with in addition to being highly skilled at what they do.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services to anyone and most definitely would use them again if the need ever arises in the future.
